HERTU INVESTMENT/Hertu Farms na TEMISE Tanzania tunapenda kuwatangazia wajasiliamali au vikundi vinavyopenda kuanzisha mradi wa uzalishaji Uyoga kibiashara sekta ambayo inayokuwa kwa kasi nchini baada ya kuwa na umuhimu mkubwa kwa kuimarisha afya za watu na kuwaingizia kipato kuwa tunatoa huduma zifuatazo.

1.Tutakupa ushauri elekezi , kwanza tutakufundishadhana nzima ya Biashara na ujasiliamali, na elimu sahihi ya uzalishaji  uyoga kibiashara, jinsi ya kuulima/kuzalisha  Uyoga bora, na pia tutakufundisha namna ya kufanya Biashara ya Uyoga kwa maana ya jinsi ya kufungasha, na kutafuta masoko/wateja  n.k.

3.Tutakusajili kwenye mtandao wetu maalumu wawazalishaji Uyoga ili kwa pamoja tuweze kutatua changamoto mbalimbali kamamasoko n.k. pia kwa pamoja tuweze kushiriki fursa mbalimbali ikiwemo maonesho,utengenezajiwa bidhaa mbalimbali za uyoga n.k.












4. Kwa wale ambao wameshaanza mradi na wanakabiriwa na changamoto mbalimbali tutakupa ushauri na kukujengea uwezo wa kutatua changamoto wenyewe na kufikia malengo yao.


Karibu ewe mjasilimali au kikundi ili uweze kutimiza lengo la kuanzisha mradi wa Uyoga ili uweze kuingiza kipato kupitia kilimo cha Uyoga ambacho, hutumia  muda mfupi hadi kuvuna kuliko mazao mengine (siku 30-40),  gharama ndogo sana za uendeshaji baada ya kujenga banda, muda mfupi kuhudumia, kutumia eneo dogo, kulima kipindi chote cha mwaka,  na kutumia malighafi zinazopatikana kwenye mazingira yetu kama maranda, majani ya migomba au mpunga, maganda ya karanga, au alizeti, mabaki ya miwa n.k . Na zaidi kuzalisha bidhaa ambayo mbali ya kukuingizia kipato  pia itakusaidia kuimarisha afya yako mwenyewe na jamii inayokuzunguka na zaidi utashiriki katika kutunza mazingira yetu.

Hakika kabla ya kuanza kilimo hiki nami nilikuwa na mitazamo mbali mbali hasi kuhusu uyoga; lakini kwa mafunzo na uzoefu tuliupata baada ya kuingia kwenye kilimo hiki  tuliweza kupata majibu mengi na kuondokana na mawazo hasi kuhusu uyoga na kugundua kuwa uyoga ni hazina kubwa sana ambayo umuhimu wake haujatiliwa mkazo hasa kwenye nchi zinazoendelea tofauti na wenzetu hasa nchi za Asia na Ulaya;  uyoga ni kitu cha thamani sana katika jamii na nchi zao kutokana na kujua faida za uyoga kiuchumi, kiafya na kimazingira.
Kumekuwa na mitazamo mbali mbali juu ya uyoga pori na uyoga unaolimwa; wengi hudhani uyoga unaolimwa hauna virutubisho kama ule wa porini, na je Uyoga huu hauna sumu? Je ukikosea kuulima unaweza kubadilika na kuwa sumu? Kwanini uyoga huu unalimwa na wakati tumezoea kuupata porini?, Mbegu za Uyoga zinatoka wapi?
Majibu ya mitazamo hiyo ni kama ifuatavyo.
Kuna aina nyingi za kuvu(fungi) duniani, inakadiriwa zipo aina milioni moja na nusu za fungi /kuvu, aina 64,000 tu ndio zimefanyiwa utafiti na wanasayansi duniani, na kati za hizo aina 10,000-12,000 zinaweza kutoa uyoga lakini aina 2,000 za uyoga ndizo zinazotumika kwa chakula, uyoga mwingine hutumika kama dawa za kutibu maradhi mbali mbali.
Uyoga pori na unaolimwa; mbegu za Uyoga:
Ili kuepuka baadhi ya athari za baadhi ya uyoga wenye sumu hasa ule wa porini,   wataalamu walifanya utafiti wa uyoga ili kupata uyoga usio na sumu na wenye virutubisho zaidi na unaoweza kutumia kama lishe na dawa;Ili kuepuka athari za baadhi ya uyoga sumu ambazo kwa kiasi kikubwa zinatokana na kutoutofautisha au kufananisha uyoga pori unaofanana na unaoliwa ni vizuri kulima uyoga kwa kutumia mbegu zilizofanyiwa utafiti; utafiti huu umfanywa kwa kutambua tu aina ya uyoga tu na haujafanyiwa mabadiliko yoyote ya kibailogia); na wengi hawajui kuwa uyoga pori ndio chanzo cha vijikuvu(mycelia) vinavyotumika katika utengenezaji wa mbegu za uyoga unaolimwa; na uyoga unaolimwa hauwezi kamwe kubadilika na kuwa sumu.
Dhana nzima ya kukusanya uyoga pori ni budi uendelee kwa kufuata kanuni kadhaa ambazo zimerithishwa kutoka kizazi na kizazi au kwa njia za utafiti wa kisayansi ambazo zinahakikisha kuwa uyoga unaovunwa hauna sumu. pia juhudi za utunzaji wa mazingira uendelezwe ili uyoga uendelee kupatikana kwenye mazingira yetu. na hapa nchini Tanzania wataalamu/watafiti wafanye tafiti nyingi ili tuweze kulima uyoga aina nyingi kutoka kwenye mapori yetu, kwani Tanzania tuna utajiri wa aina nyingi za uyoga ambazo zinaweza kutumika kama dawa na tiba.
Kivipi uyoga ulimwe?
Kinachofanyika ni kuwa baada ya kufanya utafiti wa mbegu pia utafiti ulifanywa juu ya mazingira ambayo uyoga pori huota kwa maana ya kwenye vichuguu,chini ya miti na kwenye miti/magogo; uyoga huota huko kwa sababu ya mazingira yana chakula/viinilishe ambao uyoga kama mmea hupata chakula chake kwani hauwezi kujitengezea chakula chake kwa njia ya usanisi wa chakula (photosynthesis) yaani kutumia umbijani (chlorophyll). Hivyo tunalima uyoga kwa kutengeneza mazingira yaleyale yanayohitajika uyoga kuoata; tunatumia masalia ya mazao kama maganda ya alizeti, karanga nk majani ya mpunga, ngano; maranda ya mbao ngumu na lakini zisizo na dawa, mabaki ya miwa,pamba nk; Tunajenga nyumba za udongo na kuuzeka na nyasi  sehemu zenye joto (sehemu za baridi haziitaji nyumba za udongo na nyasi) ili kuhifadhi unyevu nyevu na baridi kama kwenye kivuli cha miti na kwenye vichuguu, na hii ili kufanya uyoga huu uwe unalimwa kipindi chote cha mwaka tofauti na wa porini ambao unapatikana kipindi cha masika tu.
Hivyo kama nchi ingewekeza kwenye utafiti wa huu uyoga pori ungeweza kulimwa au kuyalinda mazingira na kupatikana kipindi chote cha mwaka na tungeweza kuimarisha afya na kupunguza utapiamlo nchini na hata kujenga viwanda vya dawa nk; kwa nchi za wenzetu uyoga na mazao yake ni biashara kubwa sana duniani. Na kwa taarifa tu Uyoga pori huu huu unaopatikana kuna wazungu wanakuja wanafanya utafiti wao na kuupeleka kwenye soko la dunia na kuuza kwa fedha nyingi sana.
Uyoga pori pia una nafasi katika kuongeza kipato ilimradi uvunaji wake unazingatia ubora na usimamizi thabiti ya kuwa hauna sumu na pia kuhifadhi mazingira ili uendelee kuwepo.
Kutokana na uharibifu wa mazingira, watu wengi kuhama kuja mijini na kupotea kwa utamaduni wa kula uyoga utamaduni wa kula uyoga umepotea na kutokuwa na tafiti nyingi za kuendeleza upatikanaji wa Uyoga ule wa pori kama nchi zingine; uyoga umepoteza umaarufu licha ya kuwa ni biashara kubwa duniani na ni chanzo cha lishe nzuri kutokanana virutubisho vyake Pia Uyoga  una nafasi ya kuwa chanzo cha ajira ili kukuza kipato, kukuza pato la taifa na kutunza mazingira kwa kutumia masalia ya mazao mbalimbali kuzalisha uyoga.

Licha ya kuwa na faida kubwa mwilini ulaji wa uyoga nchini bado upo chini sana; hii imetokana na kwanza, kutopatikana kwa urahisi uyoga pori kutokana na uharibifu wa mazingira; na hasa ikizingatia kuwa uyoga pori hupatikana kipindi cha masika tu. Pia bado wakulima wa uyoga ni wachache sana hivyo kupelekea walaji wengi kutegemea uyoga kutoka nje, uyoga huu kutoka nje ambao huuzwa kwenye maduka makubwa (supermarket) kwenye migahawa na mahoteli. Huwa hatuna uhakika usalama, kwa maana ya umezalishwa vipi (kutotumia kemikali zozote) na pia ubora huwa hafifu kwani hukaa muda mrefu kabla ya kutumiwa, tangu kusafirishwa na kuhifadhiwa kabla ya mlaji kuununua. Hivi sasa teknolojia ya ulimaji wa uyoga imeanza kukua kwa kasi na watanzania wengi wameanza kuzalisha hasa baada ya kuona umuhimu wake kiafya, kiuchumi na utunzaji mazingira. Hii imepelekea kupunguza changamoto ya upatikanaji wa uyoga na mlaji kuwa na uhakika na ubora.
Zifuatazo ni sababu zinazofanya watanzania kjenga mazoea ya kula uyoga na bidhaa zake mara kwa mara (walau kwa uchache mara mbili kwa wiki)
1. Chanzo Kikubwa cha protini salama: Uyoga ni kati ya vyakula vichache sana ambavyo vinaweza kukidhi mahitaji yote ya protini mwilini. Lishe ya protini ni asilimia 20-49 kwa uyoga uliokaushwa kutegemea na aina ya uyoga. Protini inahitajiwa sana mwilini hasa kwa watoto katika kuujenga mwili, kuratibu ufanyaji kazi wa sehemu zote za mwilini, na katika kuukarabati mwili, hasa wakati wa umri unavyozidi kusonga mbele. Kundi la chakula cha protini katika nyama tulivyozoea kuila (nyama ya Ng’ombe, mbuzi, Kondoo,kuku n.k) ni asilimia 12 hadi 20 ya uzito wa nyama hiyo. Lakini nafaka nyingi tunazokula kila siku (Mahindi, Mchele, n.k), zina uhaba wa protini ; asilimia 6% hadi 9% tu. Pia protini kutoka baaddhi ya nafaka hizi, ina upungufu wa baadhi ya asidi amino (amino acids), ambazo ni kemikali maalumu zinazohitajiwa mwilini. Wanajamii wanaohangamkia ulaji wa uyoga watafurahi kufahamu kwamba Uyoga una kiwango cha juu cha protini; asilimia 19% hadi asiimia 40% kwa Uyoga mkavu. Na protini katika uyoga zina asidi amino zote muhimu kwa mwili.
2. Chanzo cha vitamin nyingi: Uyoga una vitamini mbalimbali kama A,B,C,D,E na K; Uyoga una aina nyingi zaidi za vitamin kama vile thiamine, riboflavin, ascorbic acid, niacin, biotin, folic acid, pantothenic acid, na ergesterine. Hata hivyo Uyoga una upungufu wa vitamini A.
3. Chanzo cha madini mengi: UYOGA pia una wingi zaidi wa madini yajulikanayo kama micronutrients (kama Calcium, Phosphorus, Chuma, Zink, Magnesium, Cobalt, Shaba, Sodium, Potassium, na selenium); ambayo ni muhimu katika kujenga, kulinda afya na kudhibiti magonjwa mbalimbali mwilini. Madini mengine ni Zinki-kuimarisha kinga, Shaba (copper)-inasaidiana na Chuma kutengeneza chembechembe nyekundu za damu. UYOGA pia una wingi zaidi wa madini yajulikanayo kama micronutrients (kama Calcium, Phosphorus, Chuma, Zink, Magnesium, Cobalt, Shaba, Sodium, na selenium).
4. Kuzuia na kutibu magonjwa mengi: kumekuwa na na mwamko mkubwa wa kufanya tafiti juu ya uyoga ; na hasa aina (species) ambazo, huko china zimekuwa zikitumiwa katika tiba kwa magonjwa mengi, tangu ya zaidi miaka 2000 iliyopita. Kwa mfano tafiti juu ya uyoga uitwao Ganoderma lucidium uitwao Schizophyllum commune na pia Trametes versicolor. Hizi pamoja na aina zingine nyingi za UYOGA zinaaminiwa kuwa na uwezo wa kupunguza makali ya magonjwa mbalimbali, au kuponya kabisa baadhi ya magonjwa, kama vile saratani (cancer), shinikizo la damu, matatizo ya moyo, figo, ngozi, vidonda visivyopona haraka n.k.
a. Tukiwa na tabia ya kula UYOGA mara kwa mara, tunajiepusha na hatari hizo kwa vile UYOGA hauna kemikali ya kolesteroli, na pia kwa vile imethibitishwa kwamba ulaji wa aina nyingi za UYOGA (kwa mfano Auricularia Auricula, Pleurotus Ostreatus na virutubishi vilivyotengenezwa kutoka kwa uyoga uitwao Ganoderma lucidum) hupunguza kolesteroli mbaya (LDL) kwenye damu.
b. Tafiti juu ya uyoga uitwao Ganoderma lucidium uitwao Schizophyllum commune na pia Trametes versicolor. Hizi pamoja na aina zingine nyingi za UYOGA zinaaminiwa kuwa na uwezo wa kupunguza makali ya magonjwa mbalimbali, au kuponya kabisa baadhi ya magonjwa, kama vile saratani (cancer), shinikizo la damu, matatizo ya moyo, figo, ngozi, vidonda visivyopona haraka n.k.
c. Aina nyingi (species) za UYOGA zina carbohydrates za kipekee (polysaccharides), ambazo mara nyingi ni glucans zenye uasili wa Glukosi , na ambazo mara nyingi zinakuwa zimeunganika kwa kwa kipekee na kemikali zingine (polypeptides), zenye asili ya protini. UYOGA tunaoula, kuumeza, na kuupitisha kwenye mfumo wetu wa chakula(elementary canal). Unatusaidia kufikisha kemikali hizi za kipekee tumboni. Utafiti wa wataalamu wengi wa sayansi unazidi kuonesha na kuthibitisha kwamba kemikali hizi za UYOGA (zenye asili ya carbohydrates zilizounganika na zingine zenye asili ya protini), zinasaidia kuupatia mwili kinga dhidi ya magonjwa mbalimbali, ikiwa ni pamoja na saratani za utumbo (colon cancers)
5. Kupunguza uzito: Idadi kubwa ya kemikali ndani ya UYOGA ziko katika kundi la kabohidrati (carbohydrates asilimia 50% hadi 70%). Lakini mfumo wake ni tofauti na ule wa wanga (starch) kutoka katika vyakula vya nafaka kama vile mchele, mtama au mahindi ambazo hubadilishwa na vimeng’enywa(enzymes) katika mfumo wetu wa chakula tumboni(elementary canal), na kutumiwa kama nishati ya kuuwezesha mwili kufanya kazi. Chakula ha wanga kutoka katika mimea ya nafaka au viazi n.k kikizidi mwilini, hubadilishwa na kuwa mafuta. Ongezeko la mafuta haya katika mwili ndio chanzo cha mtu kuzidi kunenepa na kuwa ana kitambi. Lakini kabohidrati za asili ya UYOGA kutokana na mfumo wake wa kipekee, haziwezi kushughulikiwa na kubadilishwa na vimeng’enya katika mfumo wetu wa chakula. Kwa hiyo hubaki kama dietary fibres, ambazo hazimletei mlaji tatizo la mafuta mengi, unene usio wa kawaida, au kitambi cha kumletea shida. Kwa sababu hiyo tunaweza kuzibatiza dietary fibres za UYOGA, kuzipatia jina la sliming agents.
6.  Usalama Kiafya: Kilimo cha uyoga kinafuata kanuni za kilimo hai; ni salama kiafya kwani hakitumii viwatirifu na viuadudu; na huhutaji mazingira safi na usafi wa hali ya juu ili kuweza kuuzalisha.
7. Ladha tamu: Uyoga ni moja ya chakula chenye ladha tamu mdomoni hasa ukipikwa vizuri; hivyo humfurahisha mlaji. Walaji wengi  hukiri kuwa ladha ya Uyoga ni tamu kuliko ladha ya nyama.
8.Mapishi mbalimbali na bidhaa mbalimbali Jamii mbalimbali zimeweza kubuni mapishi mengi kwa kutumia uyoga. Baadhi tu ya mapishi ambayo uyoga unaweza kupikwa ni kama;Supu ya Uyoga, Kitoweo cha Uyoga. Vitafunwa; sambusa, keki n.k, Piza ya Uyoga, Uyoga kuchangaywa(Kutumika kama kiungo) na vyakula vingine kama nyama, samaki, mboga za majani. Mishikaki ya Uyoga/Uyoga wa kuchomwa, Makange ya Uyoga. Pia uyoga unaweza kutengenezewa bidhaa mbalimbali biskuti, shampeni, juisi, mvinyo, achali n.k
9.Utunzaji wa mazingira: Kilimo cha uyoga hutumia masalia ya mazao mbali mbali kama majani ya mgomba, ngano na mpunga, maranda, vumbi la mbao, maganda ya karanga, alizeti n.k. ambayo yakiachwa kwenye mazingira huleta uharibifu mkubwa. Pia baada ya kuvuna vimeng’enywa (udongo ulitumiwa kuoteshea uyoga) hutumika kama chakula cha wanyama, mbolea na kuzalisha nishati kama biogas, mkaa n.k. Hivyo ulaji wa Uyoga mara kwa mara mlaji anashiriki katika a kupunguza uchafuzi wa mazingira.
10. Kuinua uchumi: Kilimo cha uyoga ni chanzo mojawapo cha kuongeza Kipato kwa wanachi hivyo kuinua kiwango cha ajira na uboreshaji uchumi. Ulaji uyoga kwa wingi utachochoea uzalishaji Uyoga kwa wingi hivyo kuinua pato la mkulima, na kuinua uchumi, kuchangia upatikanaji na usalama wa chakula, kuinua kiwango cha lishe, kupunguza njaa na kiwango cha umaskini nchini. Pia badala ya kuwa waagizaji wakubwa wa Uyoga, Tanzania itaweza kuuza uyoga nje ya nchi kama zao la biashara na kujipatia fedha za kigeni.

Training, couching and support

Through hands on experiences on or projects by observation, farm visit and lecturing help the community especially women, youth and the community groups to engage in similar Agribusiness activities run by Hertu Farms Project.
We established a one stop agribusiness and entrepreneurship  learning centre where people come and learn what we are doing and other entrepreneurial skills. Our trainings are practical oriented rather than theory oriented.

We bring awareness to public on;

We do this through hands-on farm experiences, workshops, exhibitions, social Medias, compiling various articles, journal or books about sustainable agribusiness, health cooking and eating, environmental concerns and social responsibility.

Market to others
Trained farmers who produce similar products and meet the standard provided, are provided them with ready market by buying their products or link them directly to our customers. Through this programme HERTU Farms maintain unlimited supply of its products, and empowering communities’ groups.

Research and learning centre




We host various researchers or students who wish to do research and learn various issues in our projects.




Hatchery Services

We provide hatchery services to poultry farmers. The farmers bring their fertilized eggs for hatchery or they buy our eggs and incubate them. Currently we have 1056 eggs capacity Incubator Machine for this task with the plan to expand to 28,000 eggs capacity Egg Incubator Machine so as to cover more farmers.

Our project produce fresh fruits and vegetables to meet the demand for sustainable fruit and vegetables which is high and expected to rise as the population increases and many people become aware on the importance of consuming healthy and sustainable food. Growing fruits and vegetables on other hand, is a source of nutrition and increasing small-scale farmers’ income, and help to fight poverty and malnutrition in the country.

We contribute our efforts in the horticultural industry which is the fastest-growing agricultural sector in Tanzania by helping the community to engage in growing sustainable fruits and vegetables as a way for increasing revenue especially to small-scale farmers who are almost 70% of people who reside in rural areas live under the poverty threshold as we believe the vegetables and fruits trade will be a key economic sector in Tanzania.

We use manure and compost generated from local chickens and mushrooms to produce health grown fruits and other vegetables.

It has become increasingly evident that bad eating habit; today’s junk food or fast food diet has directly influenced the occurrence of many diseases in both adults and children, which were never experienced before, and the efforts of the public required to produce or buying and consuming a healthy food are not much emphasized; as the time pass and changing of lifestyle, the habit of growing and eating health foods and sustainable living are kept at a minimum level.

Through this project he represents his commitment to introduce the community to the pleasures and benefits of eating healthy and sustainable food. He strives to build a connection between agribusiness and sustainable living, that is, to do agribusiness in a manner that provides the greatest health benefits with the least negative impact on our environment and improves people’s lives.

Every opportunity we are given to positively impact sustainable agribusiness we will take. We also welcome the opportunity to share this experience and wonderful of sustainable agribusiness with our community and all key players and look forward to helping with the return of healthy local food and socioeconomic development.

Mushrooms in Tanzania as many other countries is blessed with varieties of wild edible mushrooms.  Mushrooms gathering are done during the rainy season only and used as fresh or preserved them for future use, especially when vegetables are scarce.
Mushrooms gathering which are done mostly by women and children in rural areas has risks such as collecting poisonous species by mistakes, animal attacks such as snakes and a like; and due to increasingly environmental deterioration, most of mushrooms varieties are depleted.
The introduction of new technology on mushrooms cultivation helped many farmers in the world. Mushrooms cultivation creating health, employment, wealth and conserve environment.  People are now able to cultivate in whole year even in dry season, which minimized the risks associated with mushroom gathering, helped people to improve their household nutrition and generate income for their families, and protecting their environment by waste recycling.
 However, in Tanzania the mushrooms cultivation is a new sector facing many constraints such as; lack of skills to farmers, low quality and not widely available spawns, high production costs, few researches, and low consumption habit of mushrooms; all these challenges lead to low production, to the extent that Tanzania’s mushrooms market relay on imported mushrooms.

We produce high quality health mushrooms to meet a high demand in the market, and enthuses the community to consume and/or grow mushrooms due to nutritional benefits. Tanzania has tropical climate which is perfect for mushroom cultivation and they can be grown all year round, for creating employment, and wealth. We encourage community especially local women, men and young people in Tanzania to cultivate mushrooms on their own small piece of their land in urban and rural areas.




Through mushrooms cultivation we play our role in protecting environment through   waste disposal and recycling, our mushroom farms use and the public will be encouraged to use previously composted urban and rural wastes to produce mushrooms and the post mushrooms substrates will be used in growing fruits and other vegetables.

Traditional/indigenous/Local Chickens




In Tanzania Agriculture as whole contribute 30% to National Growth Domestic Product (NGDP). Chickens contribute 16% of livestock NGDP, 3% of Agriculture NGDP, and 1% of NGDP. This contribution of chickens to the national economy is significant though need to be enhanced.  
Local chickens have several social-economic roles such as nutrition-meat and eggs are source of good quality and rich animal protein, food security, and source of household’s income-money for needs such as school fees, uniforms, medical treatment and a like.
Though local chickens are slow grower and poor layers of small sized eggs, its tropical adaptability, disease resistance and preference given to meat and eggs produced by the local indigenous birds both in rural areas and in the cities they are potential in the society. Consumers prefer slow growing meat-type quality chickens and are willing to pay more in order to get indigenous meat and eggs. Although the meat and eggs produced by native birds are more expensive than those produced by commercial broilers or layers the latter are still beyond the purchasing power of the rural poor, who continue to rely on their own native birds for subsistence. On other, hand quality chickens are generally produced by direct use of native chickens breed, which are generally slow growing with poor feed conversion. The sustained use of native chickens in the traditional or family poultry production system showed the need to consider the value of native chickens.

Hertu Farms rear the same local chickens commercially, to exploit their genetic and socio-economic potential which has not been fully exploited. We produce indigenous meat and eggs in high quality and quantity to meet a high demand for local chickens and products in urban and peri-urban areas.
     
We bring into attention to key players society on potential of the local chickens, since the they play substantial roles in the house hold and national economy; we to address many challenges facing the sector for the traditional poultry/chickens industry to move into large scale commercial production.
Through our hands on experience from our project; we provide training to farmers on optimal chicken husbandry to create a room for increasing productivity, and maximize the use of existing genetic diversity by improving current level of production in indigenous fowl. This will helps the sustainable use of existing genotypes that had adopted to the production environment in which they are maintained as in the recent past there is a little growing concern to conserve biodiversity and to evaluate potential value of indigenous chicken not only for current but also for future unforeseen uses.

In other way round, the reared indigenous chickens are great source organic manure for growing mushrooms, fruits and other vegetables.
