Our project produce fresh
fruits and vegetables to meet the demand for sustainable fruit and vegetables which is high and expected
to rise as the population increases and many people become aware on the
importance of consuming healthy and sustainable food. Growing fruits and
vegetables on other hand, is a source of nutrition and increasing small-scale
farmers’ income, and help to fight poverty and malnutrition in the country.
We
contribute our efforts in the horticultural industry which is the
fastest-growing agricultural sector in Tanzania by helping the community to
engage in growing sustainable fruits and vegetables as a way for increasing
revenue especially to small-scale farmers who are almost 70% of people who
reside in rural areas live under the poverty threshold as we believe the
vegetables and fruits trade will be a key economic sector in Tanzania.
We use manure and compost
generated from local chickens and mushrooms to produce health grown fruits and
other vegetables.
