Hertu Farms is the project under HERTU Investment company established in Tanzania on 23rd November 2015. Under this project we represent our commitment to investment in sustainable agribusiness; considering the social, cultural, economic and environmental implications of agricultural production and adapt practical and ethical approaches towards maximizing the business aspect of agricultural production and ensure that agricultural production is carried out in a sustainable way, providing jobs, poverty alleviation, and food security and conducted responsibly across the agro-allied business chain, while mainstreaming good environmental best practices.
We work together with all key players in the agribusiness, to identify opportunities that will help scale up agricultural activities in Tanzania and global as a major leverage for attaining the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) regarding poverty reduction. With about 80% of the Tanzania’s labour-force especially youth and women coming from agricultural activities; the project explore the opportunities for sustained growth and socioeconomic development through sustainable agribusiness.
We look beyond food production, but rather, explore sustainable ways through which agricultural activities can support the long term growth and competiveness of Tanzania and globally.

Sustainable living:Use of wastes for producing other products is
better for the planet and conserves our natural resources. We emphasize the
uses only natural and sustainable farming methods, free from pesticides or
fertilizers. Natural foods and natural
farming methods conserve environment and improves the health of its customers
and community.
Social responsibility;
connects agribusiness and solving problems in the community.
Our goal is to transform the people’s lives through consuming or
buying health food produced under project, inspiring people to engage in
agribusiness which protecting environment by practicing sustainable
agribusiness, which will help them in food security, fight against poverty,
hunger and malnutrition.
